Oh Merlin my feet ache. I've soaked them twice already, spent an hour with them propped up and they still hurt. I had intended to pick up my flat and do a little shopping today but I think that plan is quickly being replaced by catching up on my reading and resting. I actually miss being overbooked.
It was, however, wonderful to see so many faces at the charity ball. You all looked lovely and I do enjoy supporting a good cause. Even at the expense of my feet and swollen ankles.

I. am. exhausted.
Shopping is oh so much more difficult now. All I want to do is sit for the rest of the week with my feet up but that unfortunately that isn't exactly possible. However I'll take what I can get and spend the rest of tonight that way. Wrapping every thing I bought can happen some other time. If only I were done shopping... did I actually just say that. Hell has frozen over.
Lavender, what do you want? I mean I can find you any number of things but I do want to reserve my right to spoil you rotten with your input. We should have a day of pampering when you're home for the Holidays. And eat many treats. I may be baking. Though I can make no claims on how good anything is. I am not domestic, but I suppose it's time I give it a try.

I suppose it will be rather obvious at any moment now and while I have been known to partake in a few passing of rumors myself I don't wish to start any at this particular moment.
I am expecting and I am not just gaining weight. Though that is involved as well.

I fell asleep during my lunch today. I swear that I quite nearly did a face plant in a perfectly good cobb salad. Though the eggs were a bit off I think, they didn't smell quite right. I must be working too hard, though I don't think I have ever made that accusation about myself before. The first person to attribute such a thing to age will be hexed. I have been picking up an extra class in the evenings, that hot yoga. Helga... it's an experience. That must explain why I've been so exhausted.
Enough of that, Frederick already had to hear about the cramp in my left calf and the dehydration caused by Bikram yoga, so I will spare you lot.
I have posted a formal request for a investigation into the incident that recently happened on a full moon. Now whether my request will be honoured or not is an entirely different manner but I do believe we as a society at least owe the victims an answer and perhaps a re-evaluation of our policies on the matter.

I am officially out of quills. My fingers are permanently inked and my hand has cramped up. Desperate state of affairs. Pair with it the fact that I ate takeaway for three straight meals today and I am quite done with the whole affair. Entirely necessary though. I have to admit I am most productive Sunday's when the Ministry is its quietest.
This is not a commentary on my ability to chat my way through the Ministry. Not at all.

Thinking is clearly not something I should endeavor to do so much of. Same with drinking apparently. I'm sorry Lavender. Your father was quite fit, I am sorry to admit that sober as well. I believe the next time I decide to clean out my bar, I ought to tuck away this little book.
I know it seems like ages ago but as of this Monday I should have Greta's estate finally settled. So those receiving funds should be in full possession of the Gringotts accounts set up in your name.

Merlin... I think I might finally be able to emerge from the death trap that my desk became over the length of my vacation. I think however that Frederick might be nearing the end of his rope. Poor man. I think I have sufficiently shown him that he can handle a life in this field. Though I don't know if life is exactly the right term to be used. He may be going back to school and I might have to start all over again.

I think I still have a suitcase to unpack. Thank Merlin for shrinking charms or I would never be able to travel, that I'm certain of. I am much tanner and much rested and I think I could say that I'm ready to return to the undoubtedly massive piles of work on my desk. Thank you dear Caradoc for taking on so much while I was gone, hopefully it was not completely unbearable. I promise I brought you something for all your work.
Though perhaps the changes in the ministry will be for- I suppose I'll just let time make that statement for me.
I have a number of souvenirs to pass along, however for the time being I'll simply have to leave a particularly favorite picture of mine from Costa Rica.

I am officially cashing in on all my personal days and am taking an extended holiday. There are several places weI have always intended to visit and I will be taking the chance to do that now. Here is to hoping that I do not find every large bug in Costa Rica and that I do not die of heat exhaustion. I would like to make it to the next stop on this adventure.

There will be a service in Hogsmeade on Friday for Greta Catchlove at 3pm, for those interested. She will be laid to rest in Sweden with the rest of her family. In lieu of flowers or any other remembrances, a donation to the Fund to Rebuild Diagon Alley would be appreciated.
Following the service, as executor, I will read her will and settle any loose ends. If anyone has any questions about this do not ask them I will do my best to answer them.
